The 5100 has a mode that uses the GPS to help you program your radio. You can scan repeaters near your location that are Analog or Digital. WebbThe TM-V71A is able to lock the data port to either side of the radio. So you have have the other side "active" for the mic while the APRS beacons away on the other side. I don't know how the IC-5100a behaves on this subject. I'm a bit late to this party, but whatever. The ID 5100 A does not have a 6 pin DIN connector.
